Jacques Ranciere at PNCA
On Friday, February 29th, French philosopher Jacques Ranciere delivered a lecture on "What Makes Images Unacceptable" at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. Ranciere has received increased attention from the art world over the past few years partly resulting from his 2004 book The Politics of Aesthetics: The Distribution of the Sensible. In March 2007 ArtForum devoted an entire issue to the discussion of his work. Click here to listen.
